About us

Founded in 1995 in Pantin, Seine-Saint-Denis (Île-de-France), Musiques de l’ébène relocated in March 2022 to Veuxhaulles-sur-Aube, a small rural village in Côte-d’Or (Burgundy). It develops artistic, educational, and social initiatives that foster dialogue between cultures and art forms through collective practices in music, theatre, and dance; the use of innovative educational tools; and the creation, production, and presentation of live performances.

Since its founding, the association has carried out collective, participatory, multidisciplinary, and intergenerational activities, including artistic workshops, concerts, performances, lectures, multimedia installations, and ethnographic video productions exploring the arts in situ.

Since 2022, when its first project was funded by the European Union, the association has been implementing transnational cooperation initiatives by developing European projects in the fields of education, arts, and culture, carried out in a multilingual and intercultural context.
